Are you a big-picture thinker? Do you hate working on little details but thrive when working on large complex problems?
Big picture thinkers face specific challenges when looking for a fulfilling career. For once, they cannot "work their way up," as often by definition they are terrible at entry level or very detailed work. They also have a higher than average need to be creative and can get easily bored or distracted. They are visionaries, big problem solvers and can make great leaders.
Sounds familiar? If you feel stuck at work, or in your business, you might be a big picture thinker trying to do the work of a detail-oriented person. I wrote a blog post about this topic, see if it applies to you 🙂

Would be great to get some ideas - I am tired of being sorry that I am who I am;b
I was wondering if you could write a little more on this
subject? I'd be very grateful if you could elaborate a
little bit more. Many thanks!
I have been working as an Executive Assistant/Project Coordinator for years and I SUCK at it. I have an MBA and the chops to manage projects but working my way up through the ranks has been a disaster. I just got laid off from my job and was feeling like a failure when I read your article about Big-Picture Thinkers and it really clicked. I live in Bozeman, MT, and I don't have the funds to fly to LA. Would you consider a webinar version or maybe a phone bridge for this April 26 event?
Thanks!!
Hi Tonya,
Thank you for reaching out. I might stream the program live on Facebook, not sure yet. But I am taking your suggestion to host a webinar to heart, that's a great idea. I know it can be tough without a job, a big hug ♥
