After a summer break I am back on The Repurpose Your Purpose Podcast! Today I published episode 38, Embracing Uncertainty.

It is a truth rarely acknowledged, that uncertainty is part of living a meaningful life. Growth and transformation often require us to go through periods of not knowing.

If you are like most people (and I most certainly fit in this category!), you might feel the need to rush through such times, to make a decision, find a solution, be certain again.
Just last night I was recommended by the algorithm a video on how to transform your life which had tens of thousands of likes: it was a series of prompts on what to think, write, do. Ah, it feels so much better to think there is a magic formula to get over uncertainty and get what you want!

In this podcast episode I offer a different perspective: we need to embrace the moments of uncertainty as gateways for growth.

A quote by Alan Watts: “Belief…is the insistence that the truth is what one would ‘lief’ or (will or) wish to be…Faith is an unreserved opening of the mind to the truth, whatever it may turn out to be. Faith has no preconceptions; it is a plunge into the unknown. Belief clings, but faith let’s go…faith is the essential virtue of science, and likewise of any religion that is not self-deception.”

While this episode addresses the personal dimension of uncertainty, the same is true for the collective experience of not knowing: watch or listen to this podcast episode with your whole being, and let your mind open to the experience of not having an answer. It’s all part of the journey.
